Summer Solstice Drum Jam
Wed. June 17, 7:00 P.M. Caras Park
Bring your drum or favorite percussion item and join a community drum circle to celebrate the season. Matthew Marsolek and Dave Robertson will help lead people of all abilities through a night of fun with rhythm. Dancers, and spectators are welcome. Matthew will have extra drums on hand for those who need them.

FAMOUDOU WORKSHOP, Portland
Rhythm Traders drum shop in Portland has announced The Famoudou Konate mini-camp in 2009. Famoudou is one of the all-time greats of Guinean rhythm and his workshops are excellent. Portland is usually Famoudou's only stop in the western US. Don't miss this chance to play with and learn from one of the greatest ever. See the clip from rhythm traders below;
